Dear friends,
As we head closer to the election, I hope that this newsletter, The Spirit of Our Politics, and the work of the Center for Christianity and Public Life have been of help to you and your community. It is always meaningful—in fact, it’s the whole point of the work!—when I hear from you about how a particular decision or relationship in your life has been informed by the work we do.
Next month, in Washington D.C., there will be an opportunity for many of us to gather in-person at CCPL’s annual summit, For the Good of the Public. This two-day summit provides an opportunity to hear from dozens of powerful speakers in and among a community of civic leaders and citizens dedicated to the public good. Not only do our attendees leave empowered and encouraged, we believe the summit stands as a positive example for a watching world and counterweight to a model of Christian political engagement that is narrow, angry and self-serving.
I would love for you to join us on October 7-8 in Washington D.C. to add your voice and presence to our gathering. If you use the code Summit24, you’ll receive a significant discount on the tickets you purchase. If you’re able to come, or if you’re considering attending, let me know! It will mean a lot to me that members of this community, in particular, are there.
I am excited about how the summit is shaping up, and I believe you will be blessed by it. And we would be blessed to have you with us!
I hope to see you next month.
Michael
