Faith in the News: IRF Summit + prayer in school
Faith in the News, week of 26 June 2022
This past week, the International Religious Freedom Summit was held in DC. Here are Secretary Antony Blinken’s recorded remarks:
Freedom of religion is a human right. At the #IRFSummit2022, I affirmed our commitment to protecting and promoting religious freedom for all people, everywhere. I thank everyone for coming together to advance these efforts. The second annual event was heavily bipartisan and attended by Biden and Trump administration officials. (Deseret News)
Another Supreme Court decision was handed down earlier this week regarding prayer in school. “Justice Neil M. He said the school board’s discipline of Kennedy was unwarranted, even under the concern of violating the separation of church and state.” (WaPo)
