Hi Friends,
You know we don’t usually write posts like this, but I wanted all of our dear readers to know that today is Michael’s 35th birthday.
And we’re announcing…
His exploratory committee for President of the United States!
JUST KIDDING.
He’s old enough for that now, though. He got his start in politics at the age of 19, so it’s wild for me to think about the fact that we’re at this milestone of a year.
Anyways, I think Michael is the bee’s knees. I know a lot of you do, too.
For his birthday today, would you help me celebrate him? He has a new book coming out in January 2024. He worked really hard on it. He wrote it after years (I mean, years) of dreaming about bringing these ideas to your dinner table and church and non-profit and community group and university. I know I’m biased, but it’s not just a great book, it’s a paradigm-shifting book. You’ve never read a book like this before. I’m serious. If you’ve ever thought, “We’ll never be able to dig ourselves out of polarization” or “what does Christian political engagement look like beyond the practices of the last 40 years?” or “Christianity doesn’t have anything to offer our political discourse” then this book is for you. You’ll probably end up highlighting about 85% of the book.
And he wrote it all while launching a new non-profit, and helping me run our consulting firm, and being a husband a dad to two toddlers and writing and speaking and podcasting, and all the other things he does to provide for family and friends and staff and our public discourse.
You can pre-order the book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Bookshop.
Or, you could call up or stop by your local bookstore and ask that they carry Michael’s book when it comes out. All of it helps, and if you haven’t done it already, it’s a great way to celebrate the man, the myth, the legend: Michael Wear.
Thanks so much in advance!
With gratitude,
Melissa
Happy Birthday, Michael! Just preordered your book! Let me know when you actually announce your bid for the Presidency. I call dibs on Chief of Staff (unless Melissa beat me to it!). May the Lord bless your forthcoming year!
Happy Birthday Michael! Can’t wait to read!!!
