Every social media app needs an anonymous downvote button with an invisible counter. Downvoted content, even if it generates a lot of engagement, should then get deprioritized in feeds.
Let users identify the trolling, flaming, and unnecessary controversy in their own feeds among their own friends. Disincentivize being controversial.
